Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Feetsco ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email.

Description of Service

Feetsco is a personal finance insights application that:

  • Connects to your bank accounts via Plaid to retrieve transaction data (read-only)
  • Optionally connects to your email to find receipt information
  • Matches receipts to transactions for item-level detail
  • Provides AI-powered financial insights, nudges, and goal tracking

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Feetsco. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Account Registration

To use Feetsco, you must create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email authentication. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Connected Accounts

Bank Connections (Plaid)

By connecting your bank accounts through Plaid, you authorize us to access your account and transaction information in read-only mode. We cannot initiate transactions, move money, or modify your accounts.

Email Connections (Gmail)

If you connect your email, you authorize us to search for and access receipt-related emails only. This connection is optional and can be revoked at any time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service without permission
  • Share your account with others or create multiple accounts
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Feetsco, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal purposes.

Your financial data remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your transaction history, receipts, or other personal information.

AI-Generated Content

Feetsco uses artificial intelligence to generate insights, nudges, and answers to your questions. This content is:

  • Provided for informational purposes only
  • Not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
  • Subject to limitations and potential inaccuracies

Always consult qualified professionals for financial decisions. We are not responsible for actions taken based on AI-generated content.

Subscriptions and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable fees through the App Store, Google Play, or our payment processor
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Price changes with reasonable notice

Refunds are handled according to the policies of Apple, Google, or our payment processor as applicable.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Technical issues
  • Third-party service outages (Plaid, banks, etc.)
  • Circumstances beyond our control

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
  • Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • AI-generated insights will be free from errors

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FEETSCO, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Feetsco, Inc. from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

Dispute Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at legal@feetsco.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Feetsco, Inc. regarding the Service.
